On Oct. 8, during WEFTEC® 2013, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) “gavel of leadership” changed hands. Cordell Samuels, who is now immediate past president, passed the gavel to President Sandra Ralston. Ralston is principal consultant with Malcolm Pirnie, the water division of ARCADIS (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) in Charleston, S.C. She also participates on the Business Council of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and as a Strategic Partner for the International City/County Managers Association.

In addition, WEF’s House of Delegates confirmed the members of the 2013–2014 Board of Trustees.
