During the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) Awards and Presidential Celebration at WEFTEC® 2016, outgoing WEF President Paul Bowen passed the gavel of leadership to Rick Warner, who will guide the WEF Board of Trustees toward its strategic vision in the next year.

Warner, as the 2016–2017 WEF president, described his leadership term as one that will be marked by humanitarianism, innovation, and the increased spread of water knowledge in his WEF Highlights column, “From the President: WEF Influencing the Future.”

“In 2017, WEF will take time to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of its members. I join the organization’s other leaders in being grateful that so many choose this fantastic organization as the place to share, network, learn, and grow with other water sector professionals,” Warner said.
