New Events Coming To WEFTEC 2015

WEF_Mix_w_MembersWEFTEC® 2015 will take place Sept. 26–30 at McCormick Place in Chicago. In addition to 135 technical sessions, 29 workshops, seven facility tours, the Stormwater Congress, and more than 1000 exhibitors, the annual Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) technical exhibition and conference features new events designed to enhance the existing networking opportunities for WEF members. They include Mix with Members, The Huddle Room, and the opportunity to make meeting and reception space requests.

Mix with Members

WEF members are encouraged to attend the networking event, Mix with Members, 5−6:30 p.m. on Sept. 27. All WEF members who register for WEFTEC 2015 will receive an invitation. Attendees can enjoy cocktails and conversations with members, including those participating in WEF technical communities and WEF Member Associations as well as WEFTEC exhibitors.

Huddle in the Huddle Room

WEFTEC huddle roomThe Huddle Room will serve as an environment where WEF members and WEFTEC exhibitors can connect with colleagues and clients or continue conversations started during the Mix with Members event. The space, located in room N231 at McCormick Place North, will feature informal, open-concept “collaboration stations” available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, members and exhibitors can make appointments to reserve the two semiprivate conference rooms for a maximum of 2 hours per appointment. Huddle Room meeting areas will be available 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Sept. 27–30.

Submit Meeting Space Requests

WEFTEC 2015 LogoMember Associations, exhibitors, and affiliated companies and organizations are invited to reserve through WEF meeting and/or reception space at two WEFTEC hotels. The deadline to submit requests to reserve space at the headquarters hotel, Hilton Chicago, or the hotel adjacent to the convention center, the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, is June 29. Online applications that meet event policies will be fulfilled in date-received order.
