The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.), the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF; Alexandria, Va.), and the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) opened registration for the Nutrient Symposium 2015. The symposium, which will take place July 26−28, at the Doubletree San Jose in San Jose, Calif., focuses on how to deal with nutrient issues from a practical design and process operations perspective.
The 2-day symposium will feature a pre-conference workshop, exhibition, local facility tour, and a program that includes 15- to 20-minute-presentations, short briefings, and an interactive, facilitated discussion on a range of relevant topics. These topics include:
- nutrient removal and recovery,
- biological nutrient removal optimization and process demonstrations,
- research and new technologies,
- operations,
- process control optimization,
- nutrient management lessons-learned, and
- compliance strategies.
Utility staff, consultants, regulators, and vendors who are addressing nutrients at water resource recovery facilities are encouraged to attend.
