WEF, EPA, NRWA, and NACWA Host Webcast on Supplemental Notice for the Proposed NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule

On Jan. 15, the Water Environment Federation (Alexandria, Va.), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Rural Water Association (Duncan, Okla.), and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (Washington, D.C.) collaborated on a webinar focused on the recently published Supplemental Notice for the proposed National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Electronic Reporting Rule.

The supplemental notice by EPA is intended to highlight some of the key issues raised during the public comment period for the proposed rule, which would require electronic reporting rather than paper-based reporting for most NPDES information. It also provides some clarifications and describes additional possibilities under consideration by EPA.
