The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) Residuals and Biosolids Committee (RBC) has released the PDF version of the fact sheet, “Phosphorus in Biosolids: How to Protect Water Quality While Advancing Biosolids Use.” As a consolidation of an extensive online version of the fact sheet released in 2014, it condenses main findings from the RBC Sustainable Residuals Use Subcommittee into a clear, easily accessible format.
The new fact sheet documents the benefits of biosolids for crop and livestock production when used responsibly, as well as best management practices to maximize these benefits while preserving water quality.
