WEF Stormwater Seminar Co-Located with Instrumentation Conference

In June, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) will offer stormwater education in conjunction with the International Water Association (IWA; London) Instrumentation, Control, and Automation 2017 conference.

WEF’s Stormwater Seminar 2017 will discuss the various uses for smart systems and big data for innovative stormwater management. Attendees can learn how to

  • use big data in stormwater management decisions,
  • embrace innovative management techniques,
  • navigate regulations,
  • use intelligent systems to close the stormwater funding gap,
  • overcome barriers to adopting smart stormwater systems, and
  • plan for the big data change.

Before the seminar begins, IWA will host the Instrumentation, Control, and Automation 2017 conference  in collaboration with WEF. The 12th annual event presents different methodologies and aspects of sensor technology, instrumentation, control, and automation for water, wastewater, and transportation systems. Attendees will learn about

  • modeling and simulation for control,
  • control systems,
  • detection and early warning systems,
  • diagnosis systems,
  • life-cycle analysis,
  • Internet of things,
  • cyber security, and
  • big data.
