Pipe Bursting: A Mature and Diverse Trenchless Technology

Pipe bursting is a trenchless method for renewing deteriorated and undersized gas, water, sewer, utility conduit, and other pipelines. It allows the replacement of existing pipes with a new pipe of the same or larger inner diameter, and offers a pipe replacement alternative designed to reduce disturbances to businesses and residents compared to the open-cut technique or pipeline-rehabilitation techniques.

This webcast explains current pipe-bursting practices. It will assist those involved in pipeline replacement and rehabilitation projects with evaluating the capabilities of pipe bursting as a pipe-replacement method.
