WEFTEC Educates Thousands of Water and Wastewater Professionals

More than 17,400 water professionals and 980 exhibiting companies gathered in New Orleans Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 for WEFTEC® 2012, the 85th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference of the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.). The world’s largest annual water quality event featured 148 technical sessions, 24 workshops, and seven facility tours. Throughout WEFTEC, the conference and exhibition covered many water-sector topics, with a focus on innovation and WEF’s WATER’S WORTH ITTM message.

“The amazing energy level at WEFTEC this year emphasizes the transformation that is occurring within our industry,” said WEF Executive Director Jeff Eger. “We couldn’t be more pleased that so many water professionals continually look to WEF for leadership and the best in water science and technology during this time of evolution.”
