Attend WEF’s Nutrient Removal and Recovery Conference in June

In June, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) will hold a conference that covers various nutrient-related topics. The Nutrient Removal and Recovery Conference 2018 features three workshops and 16 technical sessions. Topics covered include

  • optimizing system operation, performance, and energy use;
  • mitigating struvite and vivianite scaling;
  • adopting sustainable practices and planning decisions around sustainability;
  • balancing resource recovery and nutrient management;
  • complying with permits and meeting effluent requirements;
  • implanting innovative control systems and technologies;
  • meeting nitrogen and phosphorus limits;
  • conducting model simulations;
  • achieving energy reduction and neutrality;
  • recovering and reusing nutrients;
  • protecting watersheds; and
  • implementing sidestream fermentation.
