Compendium Offers Insights Into the Value of Water in Business

Water sector leaders share insights into the relationship between water and business in The Value of Water: A Compendium of Essays by Smart CEOs. Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) member Donna Vincent Roa, in collaboration with the Value of Water Coalition, developed the book to feature leaders’ thoughts about the value of water and its relationship to technology, innovation, brand, reputation, sustainability, economic success, and public health.

Essays from CEOs at Xylem Inc. (Rye Brook, N.Y.), GE Power & Water (Boulder, Colo.), US Water Alliance (Washington, D.C.), CH2M Hill (Englewood, Colo.), American Water (Voorhees, N.J.), National Association of Water Companies (Washington, D.C.), DC Water (Washington, D.C.), Kohler (Wis.) Co., and others present a narrative to help improve understanding about water’s value. Water can pose a threat to business profits and growth as well as create value and opportunity. Business must adapt to water quality, quantity, and availability. The book informs about water’s future for business and shows that exploitation of water resources needs to change.
