A new online course series, Basic Wastewater Treatment Series, now is available in the Knowledge Center. The series of four courses, hosted by Water Environment Federation (Alexandria, Va.) Past President Jeanette Brown, provides an overview of wastewater treatment and discusses key math and maintenance concepts.
Specific topics covered throughout the series include permit requirements, unit processes, preliminary and secondary treatment, disinfection, solids sources, thickening, stabilization, dewatering, and final disposal.
Each course costs $25 for members and $37 for nonmembers. Continuing education units or contact hours will be earned after successful completion of the post-test.
