The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) is updating the publication,  Risk-Based Planning for Wet Weather. This update of the 2006 WEF Guide to Managing Peak Wet Weather Flows in Municipal Wastewater Collection and Treatment Systems will serve as a fundamental framework for sanitary sewer overflows/peak flows topics and will reflect the best current thinking, updated technologies, and improved/proven management approaches on these issues.

Publication for the manual is set for May 2013. The project already has launched and first drafts will be ready for review in February 2013.

Those who are interested in participating as a reviewer, able to work closely with WEF staff, and willing to dedicate expertise and time to ensuring the development of a high-quality manual according to the publication schedule, should contact Britt Sheinbaum at bsheinbaum@wef.org.
