The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) has issued a call for videos of innovative stormwater programs and projects for its second annual StormTV Project competition. The WEF video competition was developed with the goal of sharing creative ways of managing stormwater, improving water quality, and informing the public about stormwater management.

Expert judges from WEF’s Stormwater Committee will select the top videos in the four categories:

  • nonprofit or government programs and projects,
  • for-profit projects,
  • stormwater equipment, and
  • public education and informational pieces.

Winners in each category will receive complimentary registration to WEF’s Stormwater Congress, which will be held in conjunction with WEFTEC® 2013. Winning videos also will be presented in the Stormwater Pavilion during WEFTEC.

All submitted videos that fit WEF’s criteria will be displayed on WEF’s YouTube Channel and the Stormwater Report website. See a map of current submissions and those from 2012. Submissions are due Aug. 2, and winners will be announced in September.

In 2012, WEF received nearly 40 submissions. See the top two videos, which were shown in the Innovation Pavilion during WEFTEC 2012 and during the 2012 Stormwater Symposium, below:
