The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) has introduced a new component to its robust set of operator training materials.

The Wastewater Treatment Fundamentals 1 – Liquid Treatment Trainer’s Kit provides a hands-on guide for instructors of wastewater operator training programs. The Wastewater Treatment Fundamentals series is designed to help operators prepare for the first three levels of certification exams.

With the trainer’s kit, instructors and training providers gain comprehensive, up-to-date information for the operation and maintenance of water resource recovery facilities. The kit, designed to be used in tandem with the training manual or online course, easily integrates with WEF’s other materials and can become a primary training resource.

It features 375 detailed visuals, infographics, diagrams, and real-world operations examples to engage operators during training sessions. The peer-reviewed publication provides more than 1000 simulated exam questions matching the format, tone, and difficulty of the real exam. The content also aligns with updates from the Association of Boards of Certification (Ankeny, Iowa) “need-to-know” criteria.
