On Dec.12, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) submitted comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the proposed National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Electronic Reporting rule. WEF’s comments focus on the topics of implementation, database development, launching, and maintenance, as well as aspects of quality assurance and quality control of the data. The comments were prepared through a cooperative effort of several WEF’s technical committees and members.
In addition, WEF has hosted webinars on the proposed rule in conjunction with EPA and other organizations and will continue to provide input and participate in this process.
