Linking Stormwater BMP Performance to Receiving Water Protection: Improving Selection and Design

With the software Framework Version 2.0, watershed modelers now have a tool that allows them to connect their models to receiving water models as well as meteorological data, cost data, and best management practices (BMP) performance data. Framework Version 2.0 does not attempt to re-create the watershed or receiving water models, but efficiently connects the outputs and inputs so watershed managers can more effectively plan and design BMP implementation for their specific watershed needs. Webcasts speakers will provide an overview and step-by-step tutorial of this new software module.

Sensors and Monitors Used by the Global Water Industry

This webcast will present an overview of a study commissioned by the Global Water Research Coalition (London) and managed by the Water Environment Research Foundation (Alexandria, Va.) to identify and document the types, capital and operating costs, and real-world experiences of sensors in the global water and wastewater industry. The information was compiled in an online compendium, consisting of an online database. The compendium provides a guide to water utility managers and operators for selecting and operating real-time water quality-monitoring solutions, enabling them to learn from the experience of other end users.
