NBP 2014 Year in ReviewThe National Biosolids Partnership (NBP) advances environmentally sound biosolids management practices. The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) released the NBP 2014 Year in Review, which features certified agencies and highlights innovations that support a broad application of renewable energy projects.

NBP provides information on innovations and effective strategies, offers an environmental management system (EMS) certification program, and celebrates the accomplishments of biosolids management organizations.

The report showcases accomplishments of NBP EMS certified organizations. These organizations serve as models for continuous improvement in the areas of environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and quality management practices, according to Vince De Lange, chairman of the NBP advisory committee.

WEF operates NBP in collaboration with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (Washington, D.C.) and local and regional biosolids management organizations across the U.S. and Canada with support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
