The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) and International Water Association (IWA; London) present a multitude of residuals- and biosolids-related topics at the WEF/IWA Residuals and Biosolids Conference 2015. Being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., June 7–10, the educational event will feature 22 technical sessions covering topics such as emerging anaerobic digestion technologies, thermal hydrolysis, codigestion, and composting.
The conference’s four workshops include such titles as “The ‘Real World’ of Biosolids Communication” and “Land Application: State of the Science.” Facility tours will be held at DC Water’s (Washington, D.C.) Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has a groundbreaking biosolids program.
