WEF and WERF Release New Book on Desalination Engineering

Desalination EngineeringThe Water Environment Federation (Alexandria, Va.) and WateReuse Association (Alexandria, Va.) recently released a guide to desalination plant operation and maintenance, Desalination Engineering: Operation and Maintenance. The book describes operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting methods for reverse-osmosis brackish and seawater desalination plants for municipal water supplies. All water resource recovery facility components are discussed in detail, from intake and pretreatment to discharge management. Best practices for maintaining plant equipment also are provided. Real-world examples illustrating the latest technologies and their practical implementation are included throughout this book. The Kindle edition of the book also is available for purchase.

This is the second and final book in WEF’s Desalination series.
