As water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) shift away from energy-intensive operations toward low-energy, sustainable technologies, water sector professionals need to know about innovative solutions. During the Nutrient Symposium 2017, attendees will learn about technologies capable of helping WRRFs become energy positive while recovering resources.
Technology, case studies, and research dedicated to nutrient removal will be presented. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend an opening general session, two workshops, and numerous technical sessions. Topics covered will include
- carbon redirection,
- biological nutrient removal process control,
- watershed management,
- phosphorus removal,
- sidestream shortcut nitrogen removal,
- mainstream shortcut nitrogen removal,
- integrating ion exchange,
- granular sludge,
- nutrient recovery, and
- emerging biofilms.
See the Nutrient Symposium 2017 full technical program for more details.
