Collection Systems Taking Center Stage at Collection Systems 2015 Conference

Wastewater treatment professionals can learn about the latest trends and newest practices in collection systems at the Collection Systems 2015 Conference. The conference and exhibition will be held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, April 19‒22.

Co-sponsored by the Water Environment Federation (Alexandria, Va.), the Ohio Water Environment Association, and the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (Marriotsville, Md.), the educational conference will feature 2 interactive workshops, 13 technical sessions, a mobile session throughout the exhibit hall, facility tours, and a large exhibit floor. All levels of professionals within the collection systems sector can find topics of interest and take advantage of networking opportunities at the conference.

The opening general session features James A. “Tony” Parrott, executive director of Water and Sewers at the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati, and Thane Maynard, director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Parrott will share his experiences leading a utility in embracing innovative technologies, new management practices, and green infrastructure with the mission of becoming a utility of the future. Maynard — host of the “The 90-Second Naturalist” podcast — will share his message of environmental protection and conservation.
