Disinfection and Reuse Symposium Comes to Oregon in July

The Disinfection and Reuse Symposium 2018 will bring together environmental professionals from around the world. This Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) conference will focus on current disinfection and reuse issues, regulatory requirements, methods for analyzing problems, and ways to find innovative solutions.

Topics covered during the conference’s workshop and 10 technical sessions will include

  • design, implementation, and operation of disinfection solutions;
  • optimization and control of disinfection byproducts;
  • fundamentals for wet weather disinfection;
  • pathogens and constituents of emerging concern in water reuse and surface water discharge;
  • innovations and technology trends;
  • potable reuse strategies and markets; and
  • supporting public health with water, sanitation, and hygiene projects.
