Mark D. Poole, senior project manager at Wade Trim Group Inc. (Detroit) and a member of the Water Environment Federation (Alexandria, Va.) since 1988, died July 28 at the age of 51.
Poole worked in the wastewater and potable-water industries for 27 years at local and national utilities, authorities, and municipalities. As a dedicated water professional, he worked with numerous communities to upgrade their wastewater collection and treatment systems and protect public health, as well as natural resources.
Poole, who also was a member of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (Gettysburg), helped advance technical knowledge within the profession by serving as a mentor to other engineers throughout his career.
