Laws & Regs, Participate

Water sector professionals are invited to take a stand for water at the 2019 National Water Policy Fly-In. The event, held during Water Week 2019, provides an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with members of the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other federal agencies.

Participants will travel to Washington, D.C. to hear about current policy issues related to water, network with government officials and other professionals from across the nation, and attend meetings with their representatives in Congress. Join to build on the recent water advocacy momentum from passing such legislation as America’s Water Infrastructure Act. Call on the administration and Congress to invest in the nation’s water infrastructure, support workforce development and affordability, and close research gaps.

Water Week takes place between March 31 and April 6. Both Water Week and the Fly-In are presented by a collaboration of the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.), the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (Washington, D.C.), The Water Research Foundation (Denver), and WateReuse (Alexandria, Va.).

WEF also is offering scholarships for young professionals to attend. For more information, contact Amy Kathman at akathman@wef.org.
