Upcoming Webcasts Educate on the Utility of the Future, Asset Management, and Modeling

Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) members can take advantage of the following webcasts at no charge:

Managers of water resource recovery facilities are looking to optimize efficiency, recover resources, and contribute to the overall health of watersheds. Learn how this path is reflected in the Water Resources Utility of the Future… Blueprint for Action. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will host this webinar with support from WEF, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (Washington, D.C.), the Water Environment Research Foundation (Alexandria, Va.), and WateReuse (Washington, D.C.) as the first in a series focusing on innovative ways utilities are becoming “utilities of the future” through resource recovery.

During this webcast, learn about key asset management topics as a way to deliver specified levels of service to customers and regulators at an optimal lifecycle cost. Participants will learn about approaches to developing and tracking performance indicators, ways to prioritize capital projects, and the strategies one utility used to develop and implement asset management.

The latest in modeling applications will be presented by experts in the modeling field. Participants will learn about integrated, urban, water-system modeling as well as using dynamic models for design to account for and quantify explicit variability and uncertainty, transitioning from nutrient removal to nutrient recovery modeling, and using models for aeration energy optimization, considering both supply constraints and the tariff structure.
