Communities across the United States are hearing the WATER’S WORTH IT message from water and wastewater utilities and Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) Member Associations. After a call for video entries this summer, WEF chose three winners and an honorable mention. These videos show how organizations are educating communities about the importance of water.

The short videos were tasked with incorporating the WATER’S WORTH IT message and scored on their creativity and originality. The top three winners received WATER’S WORTH IT merchandise packs for use at industry and community events, and all winners received WATER’S WORTH IT “Voice for Water” plaques.

First place winner: Greenwood (S.C.) Metropolitan District

Second place winner: Federal Water Quality Association (Washington, D.C.)

Third place winner: New England Water Environment Association (Woburn, Mass.)

Honorable mention: City of Stuart, Fla.
