WEF Offers Second Set of Comments on EPA’s Electronic Reporting Rule

On Jan. 30, the Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) filed comments in response to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Electronic Reporting Rule Supplemental Notice. The supplemental notice requested comments on specific areas of interest where changes to the rule had been made or were being considered.

On Dec.12, WEF submitted its first set of comments on the proposed National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Electronic Reporting Rule.

The newest set of comments focuses on implementation concerns as they relate to the timetable for compliance by states that will be required to have systems in place to accommodate electronic reporting. WEF also noted concerns related to biosolids being added to the data reporting requirements. For more information, see the discussion on WEFCOM.
