Researchers and practitioners will gather to learn about microbiology and public health issues during the 2015 Water Microbiology Conference, May 18–22 at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education (Chapel Hill, N.C.).
Water microbiology topics will range from watershed to human exposure. Specific topics will include current concerns in recreational waters, shellfish harvesting waters, emerging technologies, and quantitative tools. Attendees will have several opportunities to exchange ideas, debate challenging topics, and explore potential collaborations.
The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) has partnered with the Water Institute at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) to host this conference. It will feature interactive workshops with scientific symposia and poster social events.
