WEF Provides Support for U.S. EPA Enforcement Initiatives

The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) provided comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) after the WEF Government Affairs Regulatory Subcommittee reviewed EPA’s national enforcement initiatives for fiscal years 2014 to 2016.

WEF supports the agency’s six initiatives, especially the first, which addresses municipal wet weather water-pollution sources. In the comments, WEF applauds EPA’s joint water enforcement effort on integrated planning and permitting, and encourages development of additional guidance on sanitary sewer overflows and peak treatment.
