Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) members using the online community WEFCOM may have noticed a change in the search features. Now, the search function includes check boxes, or facets, to assist with narrowing or expanding search results. Content categories show topic areas relevant to content. In addition, relevance scoring has been updated and improved.

Filters also allow users to quickly revise the search results by chronological order. Library files such as PDFs and spreadsheets now are indexed objects that display in search results. These files can be opened directly from the search results.
