The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) technical exhibition and conference (WEFTEC) draws a variety of water sector professionals to learn and network every year. WEFTEC® 2015, held Sept. 26–30 at McCormick Place in Chicago, became the largest and most successful of these events. It set records with 25,048 registrants and 1033 exhibiting companies using 28,948 m2 (311,600 net ft2) of space. Attendees had many opportunities to earn educational credits, often through interactive learning experiences, and network with others in the sector.

“For more than 80 years, WEFTEC has been the world’s leading forum for water quality management,” said WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill. “It’s the place to innovate, exchange knowledge, and connect with experts from across the continent, and around the world. The record-breaking success of this year’s event is a testament to the value, diversity, and depth for which WEFTEC is known and respected.”

WEFTEC 2015 featured

  • 135 technical sessions,
  • 29 workshops,
