The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) Volunteer Service Recognition Program honors a member’s significant contributions to WEF’s successes and achievements. The WEF Committee Leadership Council and House of Delegates (HOD) created this program to recognize outstanding volunteers who serve WEF through a committee or the HOD.

“This program is a token of our deep appreciation for the great impact volunteers have on WEF’s success,” said WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill.

Up to 15 recipients will receive a service recognition pin during WEFTEC® 2017. To be eligible, nominees must be

  • a member of WEF for at least 5 years;
  • an active member of a committee, task force, or workgroup, who serves in a leadership or other substantial service role; and
  • a contributor of unique, innovative, or creative perspectives to WEF.

Committee members may nominate individuals through committee leadership. No more than one individual per committee, task force, or workgroup may be nominated. Nominations will be accepted through June 30. For more information, contact WEF staff member Theresa Mixon at tmixon@wef.org.
